Neville takes aim at Celtic with huge praise for Rangers

Gary Neville has confirmed the greatest atmosphere he ever experienced during his illustrious playing career was … Rangers.
You guessed it. Of course it was.
Quite frankly we’re not sure what he meant by his playing days and Ibrox and Galatasaray (probably the atmosphere in the Turkish capital) but the fact he extolled Rangers as the greatest atmosphere ever, on top of the widespread praise Rangers fans are getting for quite close to the best Ibrox atmosphere of all time on Thursday will certainly go down well with the support.
What may go down even better is the fact he slagged off Celtic as being nowhere near Rangers for atmosphere.
Celtic fans have liked to believe their stadium and fans are the greatest for atmosphere, and while one or two European heavyweights have backed up their case, it’s rare in these incidences they then poke fun or ridicule the opponent.
But Neville explained Celtic Park wasn’t even close to Ibrox.
Rangers fans will love that.
