Red top takes aim at Rangers again with weak transfer story

The Daily Record has taken aim at Rangers by trying to sell all our top players.

The red top, who have an ongoing war with the Famous following their ‘tweets’ debacle of some months ago, are well known for a great theme of anti-Rangers content, and the past 24 hours has seen them try to hawk the best assets at Ibrox.

Joe Aribo, Borna Barisic, Glen Kamara, Alfredo Morelos, Ryan Kent,Nathan Patterson, and Ianis Hagi are among some of those the Record is working hard on promoting as leaving, when information close to Ibrox confirms no one is headed out UNLESS an ‘offer we can’t refuse’ arrives for them.

So the press are welcome to try to pawn our key assets, and yes, there is interest as of course there should be, but the DR are spinning it as a fire sale getting shot of all our best players just to keep the lights on.

Nothing could be further from the truth.

GVB admits he doesn’t want to finish January with a smaller squad than he started it with, but that’s just common sense when you have a nicely-sized squad.

And Rangers do, and a strong one.

The question is making the right moves next months as and when needed.
