Rangers not only have Steven Gerrard’s grubby paws to fend off in January, but reports reaching us tell us some of Europe’s finest clubs are interested in Nathan Patterson, in news which is likely to hike his £15M current value to close to £25M.

Atletico Madrid, Man Utd, Everton, Bayern Munich and a host of others are monitoring the Auchenhowie youngster, with the 20-year old winning a tonne of admirers for club and country.

Set to be a far bigger part of Rangers now following the exit of the former manager, the RB has come even closer to international attention following his stunning performance and goal v Moldova, even if he gave away a penalty as well.

So Rangers could have a massive decision to make in January. Keep Patterson despite massive bids for his services coming in from some of the biggest clubs on the continent, and let that value continue to skyrocket, or sell to seal off the deficit once and for all.

Fans will be torn, given the RB’s popularity, and supporters’ eagerness to see him in the first team more, along with the ongoing James Tavernier ‘division’ which never goes away.

So we’ll just see in January what the club does if any suitors give the board a decision to make.
