Giovanni van Bronckhorst is set to make even more Rangers fans very happy indeed with the breaking news the new manager is to appointment the ever-popular Neil McCann among his cohorts.
Rangers’ new boss is feverishly putting together his backroom staff, and with Dutch legend Roy Makaay imminent along with the addition of his consigliere Jean-Paul van Gastel, the new team is certainly taking shape.
But former team mate McCann looks like being the next assistant to add to the list, which will help in giving Gio a bit of context and local history in the time he’s been away.
McCann couldn’t be better placed to give our boss the climate of Rangers and Scottish football these days, and of course his appearances on Rangers TV have been universally popular, ditto his former days on Sky Sports.
The former Dundee manager, majorly responsible of course for the career of Glen Kamara, would be another wonderful addition to Rangers’ roster and we can’t wait.
Bring it on.
