Celtic meltdown as Rangers refuse to back down

We loved today for more than just taking a 3-point lead.

We loved today for more than Alfredo Morelos finally getting his 100th.

We loved today because Celtic fans, for a good 30 minutes, let themselves believe Rangers were going to be well beaten.

We did not play well today, we did not look sharp, and our play was lacking cohesion.

But we never gave up. Despite that sizzling Ronan strike, and the multiple calamities that led to it, Rangers never stopped in this match.

This is the kind of win that secures titles.

We didn’t play as badly as we did at Dundee, and we showed more grit, determination and a never say die attitude.

This is why breaking Celtic hearts mattered so much.

They thought they had a glimmer, that they’d be just one point behind.

It’s back to four, thanks to Rangers never conceding defeat.

What Morelos’ goal meant to him was the world, and it wasn’t just about his 100th. It was about scoring the winner. Winning the points.

Rangers may not have played completely great today, but we won.

And that’s all that mattered on this occasion.
