The whole cinch controversy has gone very quiet the past few weeks, with Rangers still refusing to display the company’s logo on grounds of contractual obligations.
A big hoo hah was made over the lack of cinch material at Ibrox since this agreement with the SPFL was struck, but Ibrox Noise was curious to note there was equally absolutely none at Dingwall when Ross County hosted the Famous some weeks ago.
No mention in the press of this, no issue made of the absolute absence of cinch propaganda and advertising at Dingwall, just the fact there was none at Ibrox.
Now, we might be wrong – we’re not the world’s biggest experts in Ross County, but aside a tiny logo on their website of the cinch Scottish Premiership (there’s also several other SPL logos with NO mention of cinch) we can’t see too much about the car dealership there either.
It seems the only trumpeting is made when it involves Rangers.
True, the Blue Pound is worth a lot more than Ross County’s, sorry lads. And that does play a part.
But equally there’s absolutely no consistency whatsoever, and it looks to us like County aren’t exactly plugging cinch much themselves.
But that’s fine because it’s not Rangers.
