Mystery surrounds the absences of both Ryan Kent and Joe Aribo after neither player played any part v Arsenal having both featured in previous pre-season fixtures this summer.

Fans were puzzled to see two of Rangers’ best and most dangerous players absent from both the XI and the bench and no explanation has been given by management as to where either of them were.

It’s possibly minor injury and not worth risking them in a friendly, which we’d hope they recover from quickly because we will need our heavy-hitters come the start of serious action in two weeks, never mind the Real Madrid friendly.

But either way, it’s a bit of an unknown, and for them to have been in v Tranmere and now out v Arsenal isn’t the best sign in all honesty.

We hope it’s something benevolent and not serious, but these two are significant for Rangers these days and so much of our threat comes from them.

Hopefully the pair of them will be fighting fit soon.
