As many fans will know Rangers have rejected a £600,000 bid from West Ham for attacking midfielder Kai Kennedy.
We’re not quite sure just how insulted we should be by this absolutely pathetic bid for a player with a tonne of potential, but let’s put the facts down:
He’s an attacker, and a good one. Those aren’t cheap.
He only just signed a new deal earlier this year for another two years.
There are many sides looking at him.
And here’s the biggest giggle of all – West Ham finished 6th, meaning they’ve secured Europa League football, and they are absolutely not short on cash.
For a money-rich side like David Moyes’ high-flying Hammers to try to snap up a rising star of Scottish football for £600,000 is truly comical.
Ok, Kristoffer Ajer’s CV is a bit more impressive, but nevertheless he wanted to leave, his deal was down to the last year, and his new manager didn’t want him. And STILL Brentford paid up to £20M for him.
We’re not saying Kai Kennedy is worth £20M, don’t be silly, but there is a few million quid in there and it’s no wonder Rangers rejected such a paltry bid.
Embarrassing.
