“Disgraceful conduct” – Sturgeon releases statement on Tartan Army

Sturgeon hypocrisy continues

Today Nicola Sturgeon released a strongly-worded statement condemning Scotland fans who violated Covid restrictions and flocked south to Wembley, aggressively spiking the national Covid infection rate by 20%.

In the statement Miss Sturgeon said:

“We are appalled by the disgraceful conduct of the Scotland fans who have put themselves and their families, not to mention the wider public at risk, with their flagrant disregard for the rules the rest of the nation have worked so hard to obey. It is essential everyone sticks to the rules as stringently as possible, and the Scottish FA have shown a diabolical lack of leadership in not stopping fans going south. We are considering our next step, which may be a delay to the start of the season, as a result of Scottish fans’ ignorance and selfishness.”

No need to google this statement for confirmation, you won’t find it anywhere, because the more discerning of our valued readers would have realised very quickly we’ve made this up completely.

Yes, Scotland fans went south, yes the Covid numbers rose, but where was all the condemnation from Sturgeon in the same tone as she did with Rangers fans?

Around 5-10,000 Rangers fans converged at Ibrox and George Square, to castigation from the government.

20,000 Scotland fans went south, and not a peep of serious condemnation – a few token words saying ‘yeah they shouldn’t have done that’ but the power of the rhetoric Rangers fans ‘enjoyed’?

Not a word.

Sturgeon seriously preaches she’s not against one team or another, but her language towards Rangers is clearly different to all other groups.

The hypocrisy from this clearly Rangers-hating government continues, and fans ever expect a fair deal from them, think again.
