Lazio have been linked with an attempt to sign Ianis Hagi this summer for a fee of just €10M, according to Italian press.

The midfielder, one of the best-performing players in 2021, has delivered with assists and goals this campaign, and his stock has certainly risen.

Not only that, but he’s a title winner now with Rangers and his name alone makes his signature lucrative, but young Ianis is backing up the family pride with performances on the pitch, and is impressing.

Impressing enough that long-term courters, Lazio, are said to be preparing a bid for his services which, we’d argue, is something a touch below a Romanian international of his quality should really fetch.

While notions of £25M might veer on the slight side of optimism, €10M is definitely something below what the club would expect for a player who may be edging into the serious realms of yet more big clubs and leagues, with Real Madrid also looking at him.

Hagi is a talent, and if Rangers do consider selling, it will be on our terms, and certainly not below his value.
