Steven Gerrard has effectively admitted Rangers are champions after revealing that he’s now urging his team to seal the deal.

While not arrogantly claiming the title (like some of us moron fans are cough) he nevertheless has finally let it slip that it’s time to win this thing, rather than the more neutral ‘take each game as it comes’ etc.

Many fans are experiencing their first title as an adult among the fanbase, and of course many young fans their first title period, but for us older Bears this is the proper way of things as a Rangers fan, and it’s been a long time coming.

But our mentality back in the day was expectation, not hope, and even now we see a number of fans STILL urging caution as if the league could possibly be lost now.

And Gerrard has allowed himself at last to free himself of those shackles by admitting, in a roundabout way, that we’ve won the title.

Finish the job – it doesn’t get clearer than that Rangers.

Your manager wants 55 and he wants it now, and it’s about time all fans enjoyed the success instead of fearing losing it now.

But then, 10 years has seen a lot of change in so many things, we can sort of understand that caution.

But it’s not for us.

Or Stevie.

Finish the job.
