It has been a memorable season for Rangers this season, as Steven Gerrard looks almost certain to lead the Gers to their first domestic league title in ten years. While winning the SPL will be worth its weight in gold to many fans, it is the downfall that Celtic have endured over the past season that will add the cherry on the top of the cake.

Many of the leading sportsbooks have already paid out on Gers winning their first league title since the 2010-11 season, but fans can still claim the Ladbrokes Casino bonus code to maximise returns on Gers winning the Europa League. But, could they seriously achieve that feat?

Gers Can Focus On Europe

Rangers need less than ten points to wrap up the SPL title as they sit 18 points clear at the top of the league table. That means that Gerrard and his team will be able to put more attention on their run in Europe. When the league is wrapped up, they will be able to rest many of their most important players for the league fixtures to make sure that they have the best chance of picking up the wins that they need to progress through the rounds in the Europa League casino poland.

Of course, the first task will be to navigate a tricky looking second leg against Antwerp, but given the confidence that they shown this season, it looks unlikely that Gers will throw away the 4-3 advantage that they claimed on the road. However, bigger challenges could be on the horizon should they make it through to the round of 16.

Who Will Be Rangers Be Looking To Avoid?

Rangers have achieved success in the Europa League in the past, when the completion was under the name of the UEFA Cup. Gers finished as runners-up in the competition in the 2007-08 season, as they were beaten in the final by Zenit St-Petersburg. Rangers beat Fiorentina, Sporting Lisbon and Werder Bremen on their way to the final in that season, and once again there will be some teams in the competition that they will be looking to avoid this season.

There would certainly be an interesting aspect to see Gerrard come up against Manchester United in the competition, but the Red Devils will be a side that the club should be looking to avoid if they want to go deep in the competition. United are seen by many bookmakers as the outright favourites to win the competition this season.

Fellow Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur are also among the favourites, as Jose Mourinho will be looking for another success in the Europa League. There are also other prestigious club sides in the Europa League this season that Rangers will be looking to avoid. Among those are Villarreal, Ajax and AC Milan. However, with the confidence as high as it is at Ibrox at the minute, Gers may not be fearing any side that they are drawn against.
