Death threats amidst yet more Celtic shame

As a curious distraction following Saturday’s tremendous win, trolls turned on Nir Bitton family’ following his red card error which effectively cost his side the game.

The Israeli midfielder, in a defensive role on the day, was culpable for hauling Alfredo Morelos down and going for an early bath, but in an exposure of what Celtic fans are really like, the midfielder’s family has been threatened with aggressive taunts and death chants.

He has been subject to all kinds of anti-Semitic abuse since Saturday, with the Palestinian-inclined Celtic support attacking all things Israel and slaughtering his loved ones.

Pro Jewish and Israeli charities have come to his defence amidst the vile comments which have no place in society never mind football, and we’re not surprised at all to see Celtic attack Rangers fans with a statement for some stupid chants at their players but say absolutely nothing about the death threats their own fans have chucked at one of their own.

Rangers players have made tonnes of mistakes down the years, and have done some really catastrophic things in games – but we just can’t remember any of our fans ever smearing our own players like this after such an error or moment.

Certainly not enough that an international charity has had to intervene anyway…

Same old Celtic…
