Rangers dominate November’s team of the month standings

GLASGOW, SCOTLAND - NOVEMBER 08: Scott Arfield of Rangers celebrates with teammate Ryan Kent after scoring his team's first goal during the Ladbrokes Scottish Premiership match between Rangers and Hamilton Academical at Ibrox Stadium on November 08, 2020 in Glasgow, Scotland. Sporting stadiums around the UK remain under strict restrictions due to the Coronavirus Pandemic as Government social distancing laws prohibit fans inside venues resulting in games being played behind closed doors.

Rangers are once again the cream of the crop after securing the bulk of November’s team of the month, according to whoscored.com.

The statistics analysis site provided its ratings system for last month, and Steven Gerrard’s men made up 8 of the 11 starting players, giving some idea of how impressive Rangers have been lately.

Celtic managed just one player in the whole side.

McGregor, Tavernier, Goldson, Roofe, Aribo, Arfield, Kent and Defoe were Rangers’ entrants in this rating system, which bases a score out of 10 as an amalgamation of a tonne of different stats, data-based, to give a final verdict.

And it’s beyond clear that Rangers are absolutely running away with it.

Effectively, Rangers were the entire XI for November, with just Livi’s Ciaron Brown, Celtic’s Diego Laxalt, and Killie’s Kabamba managing to avoid it being absolute domination.

The thing is, this isn’t even opinion based, and we know how unreliable those can be – this is objective data-based appraisal, and therefore not only are opinions confirming Rangers are the best, but the clinical data backs it up.

Incidentally, the best-rated played of the month was James Tavernier, with a mind-boggling 9.1/10

Astonishing numbers.
