Cover-up at BBC as anti-Rangers sentiment continues

At his favourite place....

Cast your minds back maybe 7 years, and the coverage of Rangers’ financial peril. The BBC especially were at the forefront, dedicating documentaries indeed to Rangers’ all-round meltdown.

No getting away from it, that’s what it was back then.

And we really couldn’t get away from it, with the Beeb and others covering it doggedly day-in-day-out.

Whenever there was another bad news story from Ibrox, Chris McLauglin was ALWAYS first on hand to report it. He became infamous for always taking on anti-Rangers content and highlighting it with vigour.

Fast-forward to 2020 – Celtic are now having a massive meltdown of their own. In complete freefall, the management in chaos, the players disparate and the fans getting arrested. Barriers even had to be installed to stop the hordes, the ones attacking the police.

The BBC?

Not a word on this. Not a single comment other than to say Celtic drew today.

Sure, they’re analysing ‘the slump’ but there’s not a mention of any of the protests, the ugly scenes, the attacks, nothing.

But with Rangers, if even a brick was out of place it was splashed front line news, headline story all over the place on the Beeb.

We get it, they hate us with enthusiasm – but to completely censor the Celtic toxicity is actually funny.

A publicly-funded state broadcaster and they happily censor the stuff of public interest.

You won’t see the fans chasing Celtic buses, you won’t see photos on there of them tearing barriers down – no, just a bit of football analysis about why they drew with St Johnstone.

Doubt we’ll see Neil Lennon’s silhouette falling out Parkhead any time soon either, hmmm?
