Steven Gerrard may have a decision to make after George Edmundson came out of isolation recently. The under-fire defender of course breached safety protocol and spent a fortnight in lockdown, but came out of it recently, effectively becoming available again for selection.

Or is he?

We don’t know what timescale Rangers have put on the former Oldham man, or when he’s allowed to feature again, if indeed he is, but it would be of benefit to Rangers to have four fit defenders at their disposal again.

Gerrard was certainly not happy with he or team mate Jordan Jones but after some potential injury issues with Leon Balogun and Niko Katic’s ongoing recovery, it may be useful for depth to recall Edmundson.

Meaning Rangers would have just the Croat unavailable going forward, and he is mooted to return inside a month, if we’re lucky.

But then it’s a moral question – Edmundson and Jones put their team mates in jeopardy and potentially risked 55 so would they even deserve the right?

We will see in the coming days and weeks if either of the pair come back, especially Edmundson.
