Doncaster exposed yet again in latest anti-Rangers policy

Neil Doncaster has been humiliated yet again after clubs booted out his desire to award Celtic the title by default.

The bungling chief of the SPFL proposed a motion to member clubs that the board be given executive power to ‘decide’ the title on their own without requiring a vote, and this was rejected by the majority in a predictable reponse to a farcical proposal.

Ligue 1 did similar, in just awarding PSG the title without a vote, but in that league’s defence, it’s fairly well run and is one of the European ‘big five’.

The SPFL does not quite carry this gravity and is viewed as a backwater of football, with an even worse governance.

As such, the member clubs binned the latest nonsense from the incompetent leader of our league game, which now means it’s on the governance to come up with something more credible and sincere than just picking Celtic to win by default.

It is well-known that East End policies are deeply entrenched at the top of our game, and while we suggested a sea-change is happening as we speak, it will take a while to root the rubbish out of the annals of Scottish football’s governance.

As such, for now, the clubs chucking out this latest abomination is as sensible as it is predictable.
