Following some outstanding displays this season, midfield star Glen Kamara is said to be interesting Belgian giants Anderlecht, from whom of course we secured Kemar Roofe.

The Jupiler Pro giants boast Belgian legend Vincent Kompany as their manager, and he naturally allowed Roofe to make his way to Ibrox, which obviously alerted him to the talent at Rangers, and performances like last night from Kamara and throughout the season only enhance the Finnish international’s stock.

After a patchy season last year, he was nevertheless still interesting PL side Brighton and Ligue 1 giants Marseille, so Kompany might have a spot of competition for his signature.

But the ex-Dundee man is now considered essential to the system Steven Gerrard has, and his displays this season have hiked his reputation and Rangers now see him as slightly indispensable.

While not quite as critical as James Tavernier (after all, we have Ryan Jack in Kamara’s slot too), nevertheless Kamara has had a stellar start to the season and is valued well above £10M, with his age and the fact he’s a regular international putting him closer into the £20M bracket.

Either way, he’s now not one Rangers or our fans want to part company with, especially not at this late stage of the window.

More as we get it.
