Ross Wilson appears reluctant to secure 24-year old

Mystery still reigns over whether or not Rangers are interested in Hibs’ Florian Kamberi. The striker, who had a solid spell at Ibrox earlier this year, finds his career in limbo after club boss Jack Ross basically admitted yesterday his spell at Easter Road is done, and while the forward has continued to train with the Leith side, he is on borrowed time.

But the real issue is what could possibly be holding Rangers back if he’s only set to cost around £150,000?

And maybe the blunt hard truth is Rangers don’t want Florian Kamberi.

We got the Ianis Hagi deal sown up over a month ago, a £3M deal which took some tough and clever negotiations on the part of Ross Wilson to secure – but a simple £150K deal for Kamberi hasn’t happened.

A deal which could have been sorted out weeks and weeks ago and yet his manager wants to know what his future is, the player wants to know, but Rangers seemingly have done absolutely nothing to resolve it.

And maybe that is our answer.

It’s interesting – Kamberi’s has been solid, not great, and he’s now 24 – he was evidently Hibs’ best player, but he alienated his whole club with the Rangers comments. But while he impressed at Ibrox, Gerrard seemed reluctant to select him much.

And now, deep into July, we’re linked to quite a few strikers, but a deal to confirm the Albanian Swiss is as far off as ever?

Maybe, just maybe, he’s not interesting us enough to bring him back – and if he is, and this article is just totally wrong – what on earth is the hold up?!
