76% of Rangers fans overwhelmingly reject high-profile link

Rangers recently have been linked with a January move for Aberdeen’s Lewis Ferguson.

With Steven Davis and Ryan Jack pretty much monopolising Rangers’ midfield, the third berth has been the only one rotating to a major degree, with Joe Aribo, Glen Kamara and Scott Arfield all taking turns there.

But Ferguson’s potential arrival would be another contender for that jersey while some question the link given Greg Docherty’s struggles to be part of this regime under Steven Gerrard.

With Glen Kamara also linked out, we ran a poll to ask who you, the readers preferred in midfield, Kamara or Ferguson.

The result was pretty unanimous.

76% of all responses did not want Ferguson at Ibrox, in Kamara’s place, while only 24% were eager to see him don the shirt.

Going by both the qualitative replies and the poll numbers, only a quarter of Rangers fans even want Barry’s nephew at the club, never mind in Glen Kamara’s place.

Comments varied from questioning his acquisition when Docherty can’t get a game, to suggesting he was a bit of a hatchet man.

Either way, going by the response online to this story, Lewis Ferguson is not one the support want to see in a blue shirt.
