“£10M+” – bidding war over Rangers star set to heat up

Rangers are ready to make a fortune off Glen Kamara amidst reports the Finland midfielder is a target for PL sides Crystal Palace and Brighton.

The latter were credited with an interest in the summer, but the 23-year old, signed for just £65,000 in January, would fetch a colossal profit from that with the distinct possibility that after being a Gerrard favourite last season, the ex-Dundee man would go for the right offer this season.

Consistently played more conservatively in midfield this season compared to his more impressive displays for his country in the advanced areas, Kamara may consider his options if these two PL sides are serious with their monitoring of him, and given he is no longer a first-choice or favourite of the manager.

In truth we imagine this isn’t a player supporters would be that desperate to hold onto if the price was right, and while his market value hasn’t yet scaled to the £20M area it should have, he would still make Rangers a very strong profit given there’s no imminent need to sell him.

Kamara could and should fetch Rangers around £5M-£10M or possibly more, depending on how the club plays this one.

We’ll see how this one plays out.
