Revealed: eleven of the clubs after Alfredo Morelos

For anyone who’s been hiding under a rock of late, the latest name linked with Alfredo Morelos is Italian ‘giants’ AC Milan.

The name, of course, remains colossal, but the Rossoneri are in a desperate place these days, although they can certainly afford Morelos (he’d be a replacement for the departing Patrick Cutrone who’s headed to Wolves).

Media claims were made that they had scouts at Ibrox on Thursday – they’d have seen a solid if non-spectacular performance from the Colombian if they did, and they join the list of names linked with the former HJK man which already includes a glut of both PL and continental sides.

At the present count, all the teams we’ve seen credited with an interest in Morelos are, at the time of writing:

Germany:

Borussia Dortmund, Eintracht Frankfurt, RB Leipzig

France:

Nice, Marseille

Italy:

AC Milan

England:

West Ham, Crystal Palace, Newcastle United

Spain:

Real Betis

China:

Renhe

Eleven clubs and that’s only the ones we know of. Morelos has reportedly been watched by at least two of these clubs’ scouts, and while his preference is famously for the Premier League, we suspect he wouldn’t scoff at Germany, Spain or Italy either.

As for Milan – they’re a midtable Italian side now who can’t even get in the Europa League – well, technically they made it, but a European ban for violating FFP rules makes them a lot less attractive than they might be. They remain a huge global brand but their team is no longer lucrative and they scrap for 10-5th place in the league.

Either way, Morelos continues to be linked with big clubs. And we still have no idea if he’ll be a Ranger come the 1st of September.
