Rangers stunner as yet another first-team star is linked out…

Rangers fans have been shocked to learn yet another first-team star may be set to leave Ibrox, albeit temporarily, following concerning links over Alfredo Morelos, Scott Arfield, Glen Kamara, and James Tavernier.

Ross McCrorie has found his opportunities in the first team limited the past year despite impressive performances, and recent stories have alleged he will shunted out for minutes on loan next season ala Ryan Hardie.

It makes for yet another surprise ‘bad news’ story over Rangers’ key first-team players, and even though this is one the club would be electing to do, we can’t help wondering why in the past 10 days more or less every single player we have of value and quality has been linked with a departure.

McCrorie was linked last summer with a switch to Swansea, and perhaps that may well surface again, but fans have already lost Ryan Kent back to Liverpool, and see Arfield, Morelos, Tavernier, Kamara and now McCrorie linked with moves away, be it loan or permanent.

The question is why? Just when Steven Gerrard has structured a winning formation and XI, why are our most prized assets being sold or loaned out. And it feels like a regular conveyer belt of our best talent, day by day.

Who next for the rumour mill of departure! Answers on a postcard.
