Stevie drops disappointing reveal about Rangers’ new signings….

Steven Gerrard has warned Rangers fans not to expect much from either Matt Polster or Glen Kamara for around two or three weeks, after he confirmed neither player is remotely close to match fitness and they won’t be considered for selection for some time.

Gerrard confirmed Kamara is ‘eligible’ but is a tonne off fitness:

“He’s eligible for tomorrow but he hasn’t done much over the last three weeks. He’s had no game time and he hasn’t really trained much so we’ll look after him tomorrow and we’ll build him up to get him up to speed.”

On Polster Stevie alluded to the same:

“He’s another one like Glen who’s on a different stage of the season to most. He’s at off season because he’s from the MLS so he’ll be a couple of weeks to get up to speed.”

It’s a bit disappointing really, that Rangers’ new players can’t immediately have an influence and we’ll have to wait deep into February before we see our them in action. With games coming thick and fast now it’s imperative Gerrard has the best options at his disposal as quick as possible, but sadly for now we’ll have to wait a bit longer before Kamara and Polster are included in this.
