Manager confirms star player wants to join Rangers

Rangers have been very active in the transfer market this January, and pre-contract signing Glen Kamara is set to become an immediate addition after Dundee manager Jim McIntyre admitted the player wants to leave now and the likelihood is it’ll happen.

The 23-year old Finnish international has been accused by Dee fans of downing his tools in recent months, but it’s clear his time at Dens Park is over as his contract nears expiration (this summer) and the midfielder is looking to move on.

His current manager said:

“I think when a player signs a pre-contract 9 times out of 10 he would rather move on, everybody is aware of that, discussions are ongoing.”

It does seem if the two clubs can come to agreement, Kamara will get his dream move to Ibrox within weeks or even days rather than this coming May/June, and frankly that suits all parties.

Meanwhile, with Eros Grezda’s injury fresh news, fellow pre-contract Jordan Jones’ immediate arrival may become a priority as well.

Jamie Murphy remains long term injured, and the only available wingers at Ibrox currently are Daniel Candeias, Ryan Kent and Glen Middleton.

Jones might just be sooner than we think too.

But immediately, it looks like his fellow January addition Kamara could be making his way to Ibrox within a matter of days.
