Rangers shock – star first team winger to follow Sadiq out the door?

Rangers fans may be in for a bit of a shock following breaking claims that star winger Ryan Kent, on loan from Liverpool, could be next in line to leave after Roma’s Umar Sadiq packed up his stuff and headed back to Italy.

The Nigerian striker, it has to be said, was as bad a flop at Ibrox as Portuguese failure Dalcio, and manager Steven Gerrard gave the go ahead for the ex-Breda hitman to cut his loan spell short and leave, which came as no surprise to anyone.

It is, however, the stories about Kent which are the more intriguing though. Some sources claim alternative English clubs are interested in signing him next month, while others suggest his loan was in fact until next month in the first place despite it being reported to be for the full season.

That said Kent will be out for the foreseeable future with another muscle problem, this time in the other leg to the one which saw him sidelined for some weeks, and regardless of this his form definitely peaked v Rapid and Hearts and has frankly faded since then, injury notwithstanding.

But it’s this surprise news that he may, in one form or another, be following Sadiq out the door that is the most intriguing.

We’ll keep you posted.
