81% of Rangers supporters want in-form striker back at Ibrox

With a trip to Easter Road tonight on the cards, Rangers fans are eager for their misfiring attack to finally click into gear and nab a few goals.

Alfredo Morelos’ discipline issues mean he’s been in and out of the side, while Kyle Lafferty has failed to impress.

As such, with January’s winter window fast approaching, Ibrox Noise polled our readers to ask if a recall for Ryan Hardie would be a positive move.

The answer was undisputed. 81% of all respondents want the on-loan Livi man back in Govan come next month, with just 19% preferring him to stay at Tony Macaroni.

The fact is Rangers’ striking options, already poor with ex-striker Umar Sadiq on the cards, are now slightly desperate with his exit and only Morelos and Lafferty to choose from.

Compare that with our city rivals who have an abundance of striking talent to select, and while their form has not been staggering and in fact Rangers have scored the most this season in the SPL, nevertheless the pool for manager Steven Gerrard to choose from really needs to be better – and Hardie would surely help provide the kind of depth required.

We’ll see if he comes back next month.
