Rangers rocked with yet another injury blow; confirmed

Rangers have been rocked with yet another injury after confirmation defender Nikola Katic has had to pull out of the U21 national squad.

The 21-year old defender appeared to have lost his place to England’s Joe Worrall in recent weeks, but this development suggests the former Slaven Balupo man may have been struggling with some kind of knock.

The Croatian Federation’s own Twitter account revealed this news recently, and hoped for a speedy recovery, but we’re more than a touch confused as to where this came from and indeed the nature of it.

Katic had been in brilliant form, if occasionally accident-prone, but for a young developing defender this was perfectly normal, and his physicality was a big miss on Sunday with Joe Worrall unable to convincingly deal with the powerhouse that is Ikpeazu.

Steven Gerrard will hope this upcoming break of two weeks gives him (and Borna Barisic for that matter) enough time to regain their fitness and become contenders for selection again.
