Rangers lose another key man to injury?

Rangers have a new injury concern in the form of stricken Kyle Lafferty, it has emerged. Following an ankle knock in his country’s loss to Bosnia recently, Lafferty was withdrawn and Will Griggs put on in his place, leaving the ex-Norwich striker a massive doubt for both tonight’s clash with Israel.

Plus, more importantly, Rangers’ hosting of Neil McCann’s similarly stricken Dundee this weekend.

With Rangers’ only other striker being Alfredo Morelos, manager Steven Gerrard may find his options at the front badly weakened following Lafferty’s solid start to life back at Ibrox, and this potential injury is hardly welcome to say the least.

Naturally we have four or five days to get Lafferty back to fitness before the Dens Park side travels to Govan, but with Rangers’ injury concerns well documented, the possible loss of yet another key figure is hardly what the side needs to bounce back from the Old Firm disappointment of 10 days ago.

Rangers are still working hard getting Graham Dorrans, Lassana Coulibaly, Jordan Rossiter and Eros Grezda up to match readiness and we’d rather not add a further name to the treatment table if possible.
