Four-man boost for Stevie Ger

Steven Gerrard has been handed a potentially incredible pre-Dundee
and Villarreal boost with the news at least four men could be available again
following a tragic time on the injury table.
Training photos confirm long-term absentees Jordan Rossiter
and Graham Dorrans are getting excruciatingly near fitness and have returned with
the lads seemingly full time, while Lassana Coulibaly was clearly getting there
too following his welcome presence at the last session.
Meanwhile the big news coming out the Hummel Training Centre
is new signing Eros Grezda’s presence with the group, the Albanian attacker
having been sent home by Christian Panucci as a precaution.
It appears the knock he picked up earlier this year on
international duty has now cleared and the creative playmaker is nearly ready
for selection.
It makes for a brilliant state of affairs for Steven Gerrard,
that he is now close to finally having his full squad available for the first
time as manager, deepening his options and giving him strength in quality
numbers in nearly every department.
The one caveat is the shallow area of attack – only three
strikers are on Rangers’ books, namely Alfredo Morelos, Kyle Lafferty and Umar
Sadiq – Morelos remains a work in progress, Lafferty may be injured depending
on the seriousness of his knee knock v Bosnia, and Sadiq doesn’t appear to be
an option yet.
But Stevie will be certainly be happy to have a new bunch of
players ready and available to him at last.
