Gerrard confirms no interest in huge Rangers target

Rangers manager Steven Gerrard has again dismissed the notion of Liverpool’s Dominic Solanke as a possible target.

We reported on the site weeks ago that he was among six players the boss wasn’t interested in, and now he has formally revealed there’s no interest in the forward at all.

Asked about the story, he dismissed it as ‘just speculation’ at today’s presser, and if the young attacker now arrives, it would be one hell of a turnaround.

Rangers are still in the market for a new striker, with Josh Windass having left and the lack of options up front something of an issue, but it appears Gerrard’s ex-team mate won’t be the solution if today’s testimony is anything to go by.

Coupled on top of Gerrard’s denial about interest in any Bosnian players, we are intrigued by who the final piece of the attacking jigsaw could be, as well as that last defender Rangers seek.
