15-player cull as Gerrard gets serious…

If recent information is anything to go by, Rangers could look dramatically different in only six days from now, one week after Steven Gerrard formally took over as manager.

In only 14 days, Rangers have already officially waved goodbye to Joe Dodoo, Carlos Pena, Kenny Miller, David Bates, Russell Martin, Sean Goss, Jordan Thompson, Liam Kelly, and Jason Cummings.

Meanwhile Fabio Cardoso is staring an exit in the face, albeit a destination club hasn’t been confirmed yet, while Mexican Eduardo Herrera is in a similar position.

Winger Michael O’Halloran is working a ticket to Australia as we speak, and Jason Holt and Andy Halliday have reportedly been told they are surplus. Last but not least the Alfredo Morelos saga continues on with reports today an unnamed Chinese side have bid £6M.

In short, we are talking a mass exodus of even more gravitas than the incredible 11-player clear out of 2015 with, this time, a minimum of at least 15 players likely to no longer ply their trade in Govan by the time the window closes.

Obviously a lot of time remains for change to occur to this, but nine departures already both officially and unofficially confirmed is already close to what happened three years ago.

We are seeing serious work being done at long last. Not before time!
