Rangers announce how many signings Steven Gerrard will make…

Rangers chairman Dave King has confirmed new manager Steven Gerrard’s signing target intentions for this summer, amidst the Liverpool legend’s imminent takeover of the playing squad.

Speaking following the appointment, King outlined just how many players the new boss will definitely be bringing in, players, we assume, who will be first-team fixture quality.

He said:

“I think the squad is a lot stronger than it was before the January transfer window and I would still think we probably need another five or six players to come in.”

We can basically expect a colossal flurry of signings this summer, and the apparent funds to secure them. This will not include the on loan players, who may be taken up too, but we shall see about them.

In any respect, we already know about supposed intentions with regards Allan McGregor and Scott Arfield, although the interest around James McArthur has gone quiet ever since the Palace man revealed he is under contract till 2020.

Quite frankly depending on how Gerrard sees things, we could well be looking at a mass clear out and overhaul.

To quote the man himself:

“Bring it on.”
