Key Rangers man a doubt for the weekend

Graeme Murty has confirmed that increasingly influential midfielder Sean Goss was injured on Tuesday’s trip to Firhill and is a doubt for Sunday’s cup trip to Ian McCall’s Ayr United.

The on-loan QPR man has been in excellent form for the Light Blues, provoking many observers including Ibrox Noise to hope Mark Allen and Graeme Murty can persuade Les Ferdinand to sell him permanently this summer, but the deep lying playmaker got a kick to the face v Thistle and may not make the weekend’s match.

Murty said:

“Sean Goss had a Neuropraxic injury, so he damaged a nerve in his face. He got a boot to the face, but has come back okay.”

Whether ‘has come back okay’ is an ‘all clear’ to start the cup clash is unclear, but any injury creates doubt, and the Loftus Road loanee will hope he is fully fit for the next match as his influence and form in the side have been getting better every match.

We must hope.
