Six in, four out – Rangers transfer roundup latest

Today was an astonishingly eventful day, even by Rangers’ standards – let Ibrox Noise take you on a (rough) bitesize guide to all the news over the past 24-48 hours in Govan.

Incoming:

We have 99% signed Brighton’s Jamie Murphy. The 28-year old underwent a medical today while the fee of around £1M was agreed with the Seagulls. It should become official within the next day.

We can also confirm the return of the three loanees – Andy Halliday, Joe Dodoo and Michael O’Halloran are once again Rangers players and have reported for duty at Auchenhowie.

Sean Goss of course signed yesterday, a versatile player by all accounts but mostly intended it appears for midfield, while we are heavily linked with looking at Hamilton’s Greg Docherty.

And last but not least we have appointed Jimmy Nicholl as Graeme Murty’s number two – this was announced weeks ago but today it was formally ratified.

Outgoing:

In the other direction left back Myles Beerman has switched to the Doonhamers and joined our old friends Queen of the South on loan, while youth goalkeeper Kieran Wright heads out to Albion Rovers, also on loan.

Ex-manager Pedro Caixinha is close to sealing a move for wantaway midfielder Carlos Pena, albeit there are conflicting reports over whether it would be a loan or permanent deal, and Manchester City loanee Aaron Nemane is close to a new loan to Dutch second tier side Go Ahead Eagles, with his time at Ibrox being cut short.

There will be plenty more of this in the coming days and weeks. Plenty.
