Rangers striker target potentially open to Ibrox move

Rangers target Jason Cummings has not ruled out a switch to Ibrox, according to reports, but is willing to wait on talks with new Nottingham Forest manager Aitor Karanka (himself once linked to the manager vacancy at Ibrox) before deciding on his next move.

The 22-year old striker has found the going tough in the Championship, with few goals and generally unconvincing displays, and is said to be eying a return north, but would rather wait for to see what plans the new manager has for him before making a decision.

Reports claimed Forest had in fact offered him to a host of SPL sides, Rangers included, on loan, but Rangers’ interest is said to be a seven-figure permanent signing.

However, Karanka has to decide which players are in his vision going forward and which ones are surplus – Cummings may well be the latter which would strengthen Rangers’ hand if the Ibrox men are truly serious about bringing him back to Scotland.

We will see what develops with this story.
