Rangers back in for ex-midfield target; reports

Rangers have again been linked with Fulham’s Kevin McDonald, with reports today the 29 year old midfielder is being coveted by Graeme Murty along with Tony Pulis’ Middlesbrough and Sheffield Wednesday.

The former Dundee man, never capped at senior level for Scotland incidentally, is still very much part of plans at Craven Cottage and played as recently as Saturday’s FA Cup loss to Southampton.

The reputed price tag on his head is £1.5M and it is unknown if that is a valuation Rangers are willing or able to make, but it is yet another name to add to the list that Rangers have been connected to in recent times.

He was loosely linked last summer under Pedro Caixinha but nothing came of that interest and the Championship midfielder has had a good season in London so far this campaign, even managing an assist in October (not normally his strongest suit, being a defensive midfielder).

So this could be Rangers, along with Greg Docherty and possibly Sean Goss, finally trying to deal with the anchor midfield headache.
