Former Man Utd defender undergoes medical at Auchenhowie

Rangers are on the verge of clinching their second winter signing after Declan John with the capture of Manchester United’s former defender Sean Goss.

The current QPR stopper, 22, would be a loan deal and is reported to be currently undergoing a medical at Auchenhowie.

This signature might spell the end of interest in Dundee’s Jack Hendry, but time will tell.

A former Exeter defender, Goss is a versatile player suited to both defence and midfield, and may be considered a utility player to give Graeme Murty more options – generally the youngster has not made too many appearances for QPR though and will be looking to this switch to get his career going.

Overall the defensive-minded player is left sided, and with Rangers having a lot of strength over on that side of the park now, this is yet another name to provide supplements.

Rangers are evidently not hanging around and the names and signings should start flowing thick and fast from here on in.
