Waghorn ruled out for two months

Rangers’ star striker Martyn Waghorn has been ruled out for at least two months according to Sky Sources.

The prolific front man has been talismanic for the Ibrox men this season, with a flurry of goals during the most productive period of his career, but after winning a penalty at Rugby Park on Tuesday night, the 26-year old was taken off injured.

Following examinations which took place over the past two days, it has been revealed the forward has a knee injury which will rule him out for around two months.

Rangers are hardly lacking in cover in that area, with strikers Nicky Clark and Kenny Miller available, along with wingers Barrie McKay, Billy King, Harry Forrester, and Michael O’Halloran.

However suggestions are being made that manager Mark Warburton will nevertheless dip into the transfer market and get a Bosman in order to cover Waghorn’s absence directly.

We shall see.
