Warburton reveals significance of beating Falkirk

Mark Warburton today admitted that should Rangers beat Falkirk on Sunday, it would be a statement of intent regarding the title.

As this site brought you earlier today, it is our contention that victory on Saturday against the visiting Bairns would as good as win Rangers the league, even at this early stage, barring an almighty collapse.

A few disagreed, in particularly strong terms, as you will see in the comments section for that article, but The Magic Hat has conceded that at the very least, it would be a statement of intent in that direction.

In relation to the notion of winning 9 games (a quarter of the domestic league season) he said:

“It has to be (a statement of intent), I think it would be foolish to say anything other than that. It has to be, but it’s a good start by us.”

If Warburton thinks it, it is good enough for us.
