£170K?! Pfft – Rangers are back, and ‘they’ hate it.

With news of the last 24 hours focusing on a certain deranged Irish gentleman and yet more delusional ranting from he and his cohorts, it really does seem like Rangers’ renaissance is starting to get to these people.

It is rare for this site to reference other media outlets, especially those oriented towards a team not of a red white and blue persuasion (Celtic, as if you had not guessed), but nothing could be more pleasing to see than the #obsessed finding any old nonsense to try to beat us with.

I did not read the individual’s lunacy, nor do I wish to – in fact I have never even visited his site; however it is delightful that fools and hypocrites of a Parkhead persuasion (and many others, in truth) who focused almost exclusively on Rangers’ troubles of the past few years are so frankly butthurt at seeing Ibrox more than on the mend that they now make up complete hokum.

From what I understand, Mr Gobbledigook insists that Rangers have £170,000 left in the bank and are on the verge of extinction.

Yeah, ok buddy. My, you can just sense the sheer vitriol and hate without even going to these sites – the stench of pure frustration that Rangers are slowly but surely recovering at long last is evidently starting to really bother them, so instead of gorging on the fast-fading anti-Rangers stories in the press, stuff like this materialises out of thin air.

It is like these guys convinced themselves so effectively that Rangers were gone that they cannot reconcile with the revolution Mark Warburton has started, and carry out the equivalent of sticking their fingers in their ears yelling “can’t see it, can’t see the wins, the goals, the football, the feelgood factor” and manifest drivel about Rangers going bust.

In many ways this is ideal – the moment these Celtic (and others) mentalists actually give credit to Rangers is the moment something has gone wrong – you do not want approval from people furnished with their levels of judgement skills.

And the more they foam and froth and angrily conjure up fiction about Rangers the more we are doing everything right.

We are back, slowly, but surely, and they hate it.
