Zelalem: “This Rangers star should be playing for Scotland”

On-loan Arsenal star Gedion Zelalem claims Rangers’ captain Lee Wallace should be playing for his national side.

The 18-year old playmaker has been extremely impressive since his arrival in Govan and has not only praised his captain in terms of the influence he has had as a person upon the squad and himself, but his ability too, advocating Rangers’ stalwart should be getting called up to Gordon Strachan’s Scotland side.

He said:

“I really like Lee Wallace the captain too, not only off the pitch but on the pitch.”

A generally universal opinion of the man nicknamed ‘Waldo’ whose rise to prominence in recent months at Ibrox has been well-deserved.

Zelalem went on:

“I think he is a really good player and I think he should be playing for Scotland.”

Even a blind man can tell Wallace has the ability – the national team does not exactly have an embarrassment of riches at LB with Hull’s Andrew Robertson and Norwich’s RB Steven Whittaker the main two options. And few in football believe the latter is even remotely as good as Wallace.
