SPFL, BT Sport & Sky announce changes to Rangers matches
BT Sport, Sky Sports and the SPFL
have today announced fixture alterations to accommodate for TV broadcasts.
Rangers’ home clash with St
Mirren as the curtain-raiser on the new season has been switched from Saturday
8th August at 15:00 to Friday the 7th at 19:45 hours.
The trip to Alloa a week later on
the 15th has also been changed from 15:00 that day to the following
Sunday at 12:30, as has the visit of Hibs, altered from the 22nd at
15:00 to the 23rd again at 12:30.
These changes are among a glut of
matches throughout Rangers’ early season which have all been altered for TV
schedules, and other opponents Morton and Queen of the South will find their ties with Rangers affected too.
Fans prepared for the original
kick off times will now have to change their plans to accommodate the new
times, which is sure to cause frustration for many who were ready for the
original schedule.
