NOMAD – time is running out, fast

As discussed recently here, an
issue of now-increasing alarm is that of Rangers and the NOMAD.
As much as that sounds like a
cartoon about a group of scouts and their lonesome friend, it is in actual fact
becoming a thoroughly pressing issue.

It is now March 30th
and exactly five days remain of the 28 Dave King stated on March 6th
would be required for negotiations with the chosen NOMAD.
That, quite simply, is alarm
bells material. Rangers have till Saturday till the Plc is delisted from the
LSE due to lack of NOMAD, and Friday is meant to be the last day for
negotiations regarding said NOMAD.
What has become evident is
Rangers are struggling to find one. Rumours have failed to desist regarding the
queue of NOMADs who have allegedly rejected the gig, and the worrying links
with Allenby Capital have not entirely dissipated either.
Allenby Capital is a Mayfair broker, which is not the cause for alarm.
Its founder is. Imran Ahmad.
Beyond his suing of the Club ala
Martin Bain style, and frankly absurd claims of investing £50M, Ahmad is
tainted by associated with previous regimes, not least his association, like so
many, with Media House’s Jack Irvine.
The point is while Rangers cannot
go public with negotiations regarding any NOMAD, due to diligence rules and
corporate law, the fact fans have not heard anything does indicate these
negotiations are still ongoing.
And that is deeply concerning.
