"The Three (ex) Bears"

If you will forgive the rather awful headline, tonight Rangers host Dunfermline in the League Cup’s second round with a few small subplots brewing.

First off there is a small debate on the site over whether Pedro Caixinha will ring the changes ala League Cup style in order to give fringe players game time, or whether he will elect for continuity and stick with a similar XI to the last two fixtures.

Rangers v Dunfermline preview

Niko Krancjar will return tonight giving Rangers a welcome option on the wings with the creative playmaker recovering from a bad knock.

The 32-year old Croat missed out on Sunday’s curtain-raiser at Fir Park and the League Cup is the perfect testing bed for him to return to, and hopefully he will be given significant minutes on the pitch.

SPL manager - "We won't sell to rivals, except Celtic"

Aberdeen manager Derek McInnes has amusingly confirmed he will not sell Kenny McLean to Rangers as he would not want to ‘sell to a rival’, coming just weeks after he sold Jonny Hayes to Celtic.

Rangers have been linked with the Scotland international for some considerable time, and Aberdeen have stood firm with their claim he is not for sale, but following Aberdeen selling to a rival in Celtic with the Irish winger, McInnes has done a ‘Hibs’ and claimed he does not sell to rivals.

Caixinha confirms intentions over further signings

 Article by: Ibrox Noise

Rangers manager Pedro Caixinha has confirmed his intention and hopes to reinvest the funds received for Martyn Waghorn back into the squad, citing there was still ‘time’ before the transfer window closes.

Naturally this raises serious implication that Rangers’ boss is still looking heavily at both Jamie Walker and Kenny McLean, and with the reported £1M received for Waghorn, that cash could easily help seal both deals.

With Harry Forrester set to make his way down the Marble Staircase in the coming days, Ibrox Noise wanted to take our readers through the full exodus we have witnessed this summer, it being the third one fans have had to tolerate since 2012.

We have seen much coming and going through the doors over the years, more turnover than we can probably remember in a lifetime in Govan, and here is the timeline of all of the players gone but not (all) forgotten from Ibrox over the past couple of months, in order, and where they are now.

Seven changes; Rangers' predicted XI for League Cup

 Article by: Ibrox Noise

On Wednesday Rangers’ return to domestic competitive action continues in earnest when Dunfermline arrive at Ibrox on League Cup duty.

With Sunday’s hard fought, gritty but imperfect win fresh in the memory, and it being League Cup time, could Pedro ring the changes with a significantly different XI for Wednesday’s second round fixture.

Championship giants complete double swoop for Rangers pair

 Article by: Ibrox Noise

Rangers have reportedly agreed a fee with English Championship side Ipswich for surplus striker Martyn Waghorn. According to various media outlets the 27-year old, who simply never adjusted to life in the SPL, is only a medical and signature away from returning home to England, continuing manager Pedro Caixinha’s summer overhaul.

The former Leicester man had a decent season in the Championship for Rangers, but could not adjust to the expectation of the SPL and became expendable the more the season wore on.
