Mikey Moore has been told by Roberto De Zerbi that he may have a future at Tottenham. Unfortunately for Ibrox fans he will require to develop at a higher level than Rangers to achieve it.
The on-loan Rangers winger has received an official offer from Cologne and is on the verge of the switch. And this is after various clickbait Rangers sites claimed it was Borussia Dortmund the winger would move to.
If ever you needed any reason not to believe a word the likes of Football Insider or TeamTALK come out with, it’s FC Cologne’s move for Moore, as opposed to the Westfalonstadion giants.
Academy.
De Zerbi has involved Moore in preseason but still sees the 18-year-old as an academy player. He sees him as green around the edges for the first team.
Moore himself has confirmed he wants to crack Spurs’ first team. This rather pours cold water on the lip service he paid Rangers and the notion he’d love to stay in Govan.
Put simply, footballers say anything to anyone to ingratiate themselves to that person or team. As much as Moore admitted he loved his time at Ibrox, his ambitions went well beyond what Rangers could offer him.

Born in Lambeth, Moore was closer to Arsenal and Chelsea as a boy. But curiously, Moore’s whole family are another club in Millwall and indeed the Famous, per his own testimony.
Moore himself appears to have no major affiliation even though he now proclaims himself a Ger for life, but his career is his first priority.
He will move to Germany, hoping to come up smelling of roses with Cologne, and that will be the end for Moore and Rangers.
