We’re going to be blunt and honest for a change on Ibrox Noise. As you know, we’re normally over the moon and optimistic around here…
In truth, for a while, we were.
We got the manager we wanted, the regime we wanted, and we even got the striker we wanted. We even got Allan McGregor back.
What more could a growing Bear need?
Well, as it’s all fallen apart horribly, it’s unravelled pitifully.
From Gillespie confirming Rangers didn’t want rid of Danny Rohl at all, to Cavenagh and he confirming they rejected the Chermiti bid because they wanted more, effectively, it’s all collapsed inwards very fast. We’ve not even mentioned Derek McInnes’ horrible management or the abysmal transfer window. We’ve even kept quiet about the worst start any Rangers manager has ever made to the job.
We know Rangers are a basket case of a club these days, gone are the days of Goughie, Weir, Walter, Laudrup. That club is just not around anymore.
It’s been replaced by a shambles, an embarrassment, a complete clusterf*ck of a club that bumbles from one screw-up to the next.
With some style we hasten to add.
Today’s news that Chermiti is out for the season is just perfect. Perfect.
Not only that stupid rejection of £22M which would have kept Chermiti on the bench or probably out of the match day squad entirely, but now the loss of that cash. Chermiti would not have played again if £22M was coming in from Turkey for him.
And it was, till our bright sparks in charge tried to ‘play a blinder’ only for it to blow up completely in their faces.
Once again, a Rangers regime is a bumbling chaos of a mess.
It would have looked MUCH better had we maybe not lost 66% of our matches under McInnes, and Ibrox Noise and others would have let our misgivings slide.
But not now.
Rangers might be getting some bad luck, but yet again horrific decisions and strategy at board level have led to this.
Rangers are financially better off than under Mike Ashley and his cronies. That is true. And yes, we have a bunch of Rangers men in some good positions at the club.
Unfortunately they’re as toxic right now as anything that came before.
Gillespie is proving himself a clown, McInnes is totally out of his depth, Fraser Thornton does absolutely nothing, and Allan McGregor is not a coach.
And Cavenagh is being led astray by all of them and the other idiots he kept on, like Dan Purdy and Robbie Thelwell.
Of course, if results on the pitch pick up, some of this criticism will look harsh. Maybe unfair.
We hope that’s the case.
But as things stand, this club is 9th in the league, has lost its star striker, and may have lost its star defender.
