As published earlier, we quoted a recent social media account by the name of Joe Tiffany which has around 10,000 followers, claiming that Danny Rohl has already agreed his exit and there is an information embargo on it being published.
This is actually very believable.
The individual in question, we are less sure about in terms of his credibility, but one of the points he says rings true.
The Chris Jack Angle
The information regarding Rohl’s exit would be more or less exclusively broken by Chris Jack.
Jack has confirmed that these talks are happening, but he has been unable to say anything else.
He has claimed that Rohl himself is not pushing for the exit, but this does not mean that he is not actively seeking it.
It simply means that as far as Chris Jack knows, he knows nothing regarding any explicit comments from Rohl about this topic.
But the fact is that these talks are happening.
That in itself is Danny Rohl pushing for the exit because these talks would not be happening if Rohl did not want to leave.
He is interested in the move to Austria, so this much we know.
The Embargo Claim
However, Tiffany said one thing that really screams out. And that is that Chris Jack cannot announce this to have taken place and for Rohl to have already left. Why? Because Rangers have put an embargo on him doing so.
And how can they do that?
Because he is essentially, along with Keith Jackson, the massive Rangers mouthpiece in the media.
The Rangers Review and indeed Daily Record are the two sources that the 49ers Enterprises now use in different ways for breaking out different stories.
Keith Jackson gets some stuff. Chris Jack gets the other.
And this one seems to be Chris Jack’s entirely alone, and an embargo on this story would suggest that he has been told by Cavenagh not to report this one yet until it is ready and they give him permission.
Information From The Top
Jack is getting some information from these guys at the top.
They do offer him some exclusives, just like they do with Keith Jackson. And indeed others like Scott Burns at the Daily Record.
It is pick and choose as to which journalists they want to break things to based on the agenda of doing so and with whom.
But consequently, the proof is in the pudding on this one.
Jack has been silenced on reporting anything further because that rings true. What Tiffany said about an embargo being in place, that is. And the 49ers basically telling Mr Jack not to report the full extent of the story just yet.
Only A Matter Of Time?
It does seem like Rohl has either left the building already or is heavily doing so in the first place.
Consequently, it does seem like it will only be a matter of time before Danny Rohl is confirmed as having exited and another managerial hunt is underway.
