In recent times, it has become abundantly clear that Tottenham Hotspur have become a very, very easy source for Rangers based stories and clickbait. As we of course revealed yesterday, the story regarding Mikey Moore was a complete fake news effort, fabricating a Fabrizio Romano style post with a complete lie of a screen grab. It gained great traction and had a lot of fans believing that Moore was returning to Govan.
He is not.
The Mikey Moore Fabrication
However, the further stories that are being used regarding the London giants concern Nico Raskin.
Ibrox Noise is not aware of any tangible interest in Nico Raskin whatsoever from Roberto De Zerbi’s team.
They are just being used at the moment as a constant easy source of clicks. Clicks for Rangers based stories regarding the links with Mikey Moore having been here on loan and returning to London.
The Roberto De Zerbi angle, of course, covers the fact that he stopped Tottenham from being relegated and Spurs’ near miss became a big, big story. Just how close they came to going down.
That in itself created huge clicks as well. Alongside the Mikey Moore angle of whether he would go back to London. Based on whether they would get relegated or not.
The Raskin Story
Consequently, the Raskin to Spurs story is another angle of easy clicks.
Ibrox Noise is aware, of course, of Atalanta’s genuine interest. And we are aware of one other Serie A team and a Spanish outfit.
That is all that we know of for the moment, although we are sure there are more that are unnamed as well.
But we are pretty sure that Tottenham Hotspur is not one of them.
This is a made up story designed to get traffic in Rangers and indeed Spurs’ name.
Why The Story Gets Traction
The reality is that English giants are the big traffic.
They are the big traffic for clicks online and anything that involves a Premier League club, or a club in that top flight, will very much gain traction.
This is why smaller clubs in smaller leagues, such as admittedly Rangers and Celtic, end up being linked there by clickbait sites.
It gets clicks and traction guaranteed.
As far as we know, Raskin is not interesting Tottenham Hotspur at all, but of course, that does not mean that in time it will not change.
