On the topic of hoovering up the best talent in the Premiership, it is a bit of a sneaky move Rangers have made indirectly by already signing two of the best players in the Premiership before the window has even properly started.
That is to say, Rangers have already signed Hearts’ best player and Kilmarnock’s.
Rangers Already Landed Hearts’ Main Man
Hearts, of course, is captain Lawrence Shankland.
Many may make a case for Claudio Braga as well, but either way, both of those two are the strongest at Gorgie and Rangers have most certainly signed one of them.
But the other? Who is the other?
Who on earth have Rangers signed as the best player from another team?
Findlay Curtis Is Like A New Signing
Kilmarnock, of course, and our very own Findlay Curtis.
Yes indeed.
The sparkling youth product went to Rugby Park and shone like a beacon, helping Neil McCann’s men stay up.
He performed admirably and is set to play a bigger role at Ibrox this coming season, so Rangers retaining him from loan is like a brand new signing of a young player who is clearly ready to perform at the highest level.
And clearly he is.
He is going to the World Cup after all.
Curtis Can Fill Multiple Roles
The big deal of getting Findlay back and deploying him into the number 10 position at Ibrox, or any part of the front three, is a big fillip to Rangers.
He is essentially a forward, an attacking playmaker, a bit of a winger, and a bit of a utility forward.
And he has shown under the pressure of Kilmarnock and keeping them up on that plastic pitch, of all things, that he can do it and he can deliver.
Rangers Quietly Added Premiership Quality
Time will tell just how well he shines next season, but he and Shankland show that Rangers have sneakily already brought in two of the best players in the Scottish Premiership from other clubs last season.
